Downfield is a stunning parkland course set on the edge of Scotland's sunniest city. With a range of tees to suit all golfing abilities, up to Championship level, we provide a fantastic golf experience whether you come from near or far.

Less than 30 minutes from St Andrews and Carnoustie, we are ideally placed should you wish to play top class parkland golf when in the area.

We have has hosted many prestigious events over our long history, including the inaugural Scottish Open. Most recently, the R&A and DP World Tour entrusted us to host the 2024 Senior Open Final Qualifying. Unfortunately, none of the qualifiers could copy Paul Lawrie, who won The Open at Carnoustie in 1999 after qualifying at Downfield.

As well as the stunning course, we have a wonderful clubhouse for you to enjoy, as every visitor is treated as a member for the day. Warm up at our range and then go out to test yourself on the course, where you'll hopefully see the array of local wildlife that we are fortunate to have on site.

Our tree lined course varies in colour depending on the season and with water in play on no fewer than 7 holes, be assured that Downfield will leave you wanting to come back for more.
