Downfield Golf Club - Qualifying Venue for the 2024 Senior Open at Carnoustie.
From hosting the inaugural Scottish Open in 1972, hosting final qualifying for The Open Championship in 1999 and most recently chosen as a qualifying venue for The Senior Open in 2024, Downfield Golf Club is delighted to continue hosting world class golfing events.
Paul has represented Europe twice in the Ryder Cup winning his singles match on both occasions.
He has competed in more than 600 European Tour events and amassed eight victories including his Open triumph at Carnoustie in 1999.
Paul qualified for the Open at Downfield before going on to lift the Claret Jug and described the course as one of the finest inland courses in Britain.

Downfield is one of the finest inland courses I've played anywhere in the world; it's a tough, demanding test of golf amidst some of the most picturesque scenery - you have to be very long and straight off the tee to succeed here!
